Etisalat restates commitment to customer service
Etisalat Nigeria has reaffirmed commitment to the satisfaction of its growing customer base through the continuous provision of innovative products and services to its subscribers. The telecom service providernet made the pledge at the just concluded Etisalat Customer Forum held at the Civic Centre, Ibadan, Oyo State.
The forum, a direct contact and interactive session with customers cutting across various classifications, is a platform to receive first hand and direct feedback on the company’s operations, products and services.
Addressing customers at the event, Director, Customer Care, Etisalat Nigeria, Plato Syrimis said customers are the reason for its existence, and promised that the company would always ensure that their needs are met to a large extent.
“It is essential that we hold sessions like this in order to get feedback from our customers. We understand the importance of interacting with customers and getting valuable feedback from them and there is no better way of doing this than a face-to-face communication with them in all the major cities we have visited,” he said.
He said Etisalat launched the customer forum in 2010 with the aim of receiving feedback from customers on the quality of its service delivery as well as what they would like to enjoy on the network.
“Since inception, we have hosted customers in over 13 states of the federation in cities including Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Enugu, Benin, Kaduna, Warri, Onitsha and Akure and this is our second time in Ibadan. This initiative by Etisalat has continued because we value the feedback we get from our customers each time we meet with them,” he said.
Speaking at the forum, a customer and businessman based in the state capital, Peter Samuel, described Etisalat as “the only credible network operating in Ibadan.
“I have never had the cause to call the customer care number since 2009 when I joined Etisalat network. The call rates are cheap, I don’t experience dropped calls and the data service is the fastest I have seen so far in Nigeria. Etisalat has never disappointed me, anytime I need to make a call, I do, without trouble and that’s what I need from my network,” he said.
Also commenting, Yemi Ladoja, another businessman, echoed similar sentiments, commending Etisalat for organising the forum, saying that this has deepened his loyalty to the brand. His words: “I really don’t know how to thank Etisalat for giving us a sense of belonging by creating an avenue for us to meet and discuss with senior members of the management and customer care team. If all organisations can take a cue from Etisalat’s innovative Customer Forum by coming around and asking customers for feedback on device issues, network challenges and all the services being rendered to them rather than wait for you to call their support number, then I think Nigeria will be a better place to live.”
