By James Kolawole

Despite the decline in oil price and rising price of commodities, the management of Multichoice, owner of cable Television, DStv, has restates its determination not to increase its charges for the different bouquet it offers to subscribers.

In a statement issued by the management which was signed by the managing director, John Ugbe,  it stated that even though the economy seems to be tough which had led to huge devaluation in local currencies, the organization remains committed to absorb the financial strain by keeping the charges at the same rate.

Part of the statements reads: “We understand that our subscribers, our biggest asset, are suffering. On this basis, we have decided that we are going to do our bit by absorbing some of the pains which would come by maintaining existing charges on any of our DStv bouquets. Barring any further external economic shocks, we do not anticipate a price increase in 2016.

It added: “We are extremely pleased to announce that there will be no price increase on DStv subscriptions this April on any of the bouquets. Barring any further external economic shocks, we do not anticipate a price increase in 2016. This means that from next month, DStv subscribers can fully immerse themselves in the exciting world of DStv entertainment, at no extra cost.”

“Subscribers are the reason we exist, so we commit to bring you the best possible content at the most affordable price. We want you to have a great in home viewing experience and the best local and international television entertainment.”
