The Minister of Youths and Sport Bar Solomon Dalung has disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari led federal government has put in in place fiscal policies that will solve the current challenges the people of this country are going through at the moment.
Dalung gave this assurance on Monday in Jos during the dedication of a motorised borehole and its facilities he donated to the Sabon Barki community of Jos South Local Government Areas of Plateau State.
According to the minister of sports, “The truth is that Nigeria has challenges, but the challenges are temporal because the administration of President Buhari has adopted certain fiscal policies and those policies have blocked linkages, and the blocking is the reason for artificial scarcity of fuel and rising prices of some food items, but we are on top of the situation, not too long we will overcome them; just like the Bible says, the Egyptians you see today you will see them no more”.
Dalung urged the church and Nigerians to pray for the government to succeed saying, “our policies of fighting corruption is not on the pages of newspapers, there are people who headed public offices that their actions are called to question, and what the probe is all about is that if you know you have mismanaged and appropriated funds that is in your custody, return it”.
He revealed that President Buhari administration has made some good efforts in recovering funds, saying government will re-invest those monies in the 2016 budget and make sure at the end of the day the resources go back to the average Nigerian masses to benefit.
While speaking on the motorized borehole, Dalung said he decided to put his little effort to assist humanity and assured the church and community that he will continue to do more.
On their part, Community Leader of Sabon Barki, Elder Pam Chun and RCC chairman of Gyel Reverend Bulus Tsok commended the Sports Minister for the donation of the borehole to them.
They told the Minister that the provision of the borehole will alleviate the hardship of water scarcity in the area and called on other top government functionaries from the state to emulate the humility of Barr. Dalung.
