The National President of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) has commended the Federal Government’s planned effort to embark on town hall meetings across Nigeria.
Comrade Bobboi Kaigama on Wednesday expressed the belief that the effort would afford Nigerians the opportunity of airing their views on certain policies and programmes of the government.
Commenting on the delay in the implementation of the budget, Colonel Kaigama said that since the full details of the budget was yet to be passed to President Muhammadu Buhari, Nigerians should be patient. He described the situation as ‘politicians’ gimmick’ between the executive and legislature.
On what could be the solution to perennial fuel crisis, the Labour Leader called on the President to appoint another competent person to man the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and relieve the present Group Managing Director of the post.
He maintained that the two posts had overwhelmed him and had affected his ability to put in his best.
