Pillars Ready For Giwa Clash, Says Malikawa

Idris Malikawa, Media Officer of Kano Pillars, has stated that the former champions are ready for any challenge that might be thrown at them by Giwa FC on Sunday.

The former CAF Champions League campaigners are travelling to Jos, Plateau State, to face resurgent Giwa FC in one of the week-10 round of matches on Sunday.

While speaking to Independent on the match, Malikawa said the players of Pillars are highly motivated to face Giwa FC. He pointed out that the players have vowed to take the title back from Enyimba at the end of the season.

“We are ready for the match. You know I told you earlier that our plan this season is to win back the title and I thank God that the players share similar belief,” he said.

Malikawa said that there is no special training for any match, positing that his side is always prepared for any match.

“We have no special preparation for this match. We work as a unit and our plan at the end of the season is to be crowned league champions. Nothing shall stop it, Insha Allah,” he concluded.

The Kano State-owned team is presently placed fifth on the table with 15 points from eight matches, while Giwa is 11th on the log with 11 points from the same number of matches.
