Bosso Eager For Eagles Job

On daily basis, Samson Siasia is getting the nod to coach the Super Eagles on a permanent basis.
And the latest of those asking the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to give Siasia is ladan Bosso, former Former Flying Eagles coach.

His reason is that Siasia did well in the short term he was asked to coach the team on interim base.
But Bosso’s support may not sway the leadership of the NFF, who have concluded plans to hire a Frenchman to coach the team.

Bosso said despite the unfavourable results from the 2017 Africa cup of Nations qualifying matches against Egypt, the team gave good account of itself within the shortest time the games were played.
“In Siasia I believe and trust for the Super Eagles job, Nigerians should thank him for taking up the daunting task when he did it.

“We should assess the team based on performances in the two matches against Egypt not the results per se.
“The problem of Nigerian football is not coaches. I have been there severally and I fully understand what I’m saying in that regard.

“Eagles under Siasia performed creditably well in the matches against Egypt though the results may not have been right for us but the commitment of the players was commendable.
“If that team had stayed together for a longer time prior to the matches the results would have been quite different from what it turned out to be.

“Instead of wasting further time undecided the NFF should brace the odd to name Siasia head coach so that the World Cup campaign can continue without disruption,” said the El Kanemi Warriors coach to supersport.com.

Super Eagles missed the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations final party in Gabon courtesy of inferior points the side garnered in Group G, finishing two points five behind leaders Eygpt with a game to spare against the Taifa Stars of Tanzania.
