Chinedu Udoji, Enyimba Football Club captain, is optimistic the team will qualify for the group stage of the CAF Champions League despite the threat posed by Tunisian side, Etoile du Sahel.
Enyimba will play the Sousse-based outfit at the Adokie Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt next Sunday in the first leg of their second round tie.
The centre-back admitted it would be tough coming up against the North Africans, but was however confident Enyimba would scale through the hurdle.
“Etoile is one of the best teams in Africa and we are expecting a difficult game against them,” Udoji told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“We are determined to make it to the group stage and nothing is going to stop us.
“It’s important for us to get a good result at home and then consolidate on that in the second leg.”
The Peoples Elephant beat Vipers Sports Club and Vital’0 of Uganda and Burundi respectively to reach the second round.
