Woman’s Part Missing in Hospital

There was confusion in Osogbo, Osun State Capital woman’s parts who died in a clinic maternity centre was discovered missing.

The deceased, a 60year old woman was taken to one Tinu-Ola Clinic and Maternity Centre, Along Olu-Ode, Owode Osogbo, for one ailment but eventually died in the hospital.

The management of the hospital however told one of the grand son that brought the woman to come back the following day to pack the corpse.

When they came to convey the corpse, the nurse was said to haste them to remove the corpse when they discovered that some parts of the woman has disappeared.

Upon enquiry the nurse who was attending to the woman could not offer satisfactory explanation and at this point they raised alarm.

When they sought to know the whereabout of the missing parts and what was responsible, the nurse said that it was rats that feed on the missing part.

The doctor on duty was querried on the happenings denied that he is not the doctor in the hospital but the friend to the doctor.

Our correspondent’s visit to the hospital revealed that the deceased simply identified as Waliyat Raji that the lower lip, nasal cartilages and the side of the eyes were been cut off.

One of the grandsons of the deceased┬ásaid “the doctor confirmed to us that our mama has die and we were told to come for the corpse the following morning.”

“But we are so surprised only to discover what has happened.

The matter has been reported at Dugbe Police Station and policemen have arrested workers in the hospital.

They are presently helping the policemen in their investigation into the matter.

A top police officer at Dugbe Police Station who spoke on the condition of anonimity confirmed the incident but further direct our Correspondent to the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for details information.

When a call was put across to PPRO, Mrs. Folasade Odoro said she was out of the state on official assignment and that she has not been briefed since she is not around.

She explained that details of the matter would be volunterred to the press immediately she arrived and abreast of the facts about the matter.
