APGA Chieftain Urges Obiano To Reconcile With Obi

The Deputy National Organising Secretary, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Engr. Campbell Umenzekwe has advised Willie Obiano, governor of Anambra State to mend fence with Peter Obi his political godfather ahead of the governorship election slated for Anambra State in 2017.

“Governor Obiano must come down from his high horse and egotism to make peace with his political godfather, Sir Peter Obi.” Investigation revealed that Obiano who became the governor following the massive support he received from Obi the immediate governor of state, parted way from him when Obi defected from APGA to PDP ahead of 2015 general elections. Umenzekwe urged Obiano to cast his mind back to what happened to some political godsons who go against their benefactors and how they failed woefully and never recover from their political misadventure.

He cited the examples of late Mohammed Lawal who went against Abubakar Olusola Saraki, former governor Aliyu Shinkafi against Sani Yerima and Rasheed Ladoja against Lamidi Adedibu who he said all failed.

“As a founding member and 2003 APGA governorship candidate in Lagos, I will sincerely say it with every emphasis that APGA, as constituted today both in government and its political structures doesn’t, have the capacity to win the 2017 governorship election against support from Peter Obi’s political empire.’

Umenzekwe who claimed to be leader of APGA in Lagos State advised Obiano as a green horn to stop taking the risk of putting APGA on the ‘Redline’ between APC and PDP. He further enjoined the people of Anambra State to pray fervently for the victory of APGA in the forth-coming governorship election in the state.
