Osun Threatened To Seal Off APC Party Secretariat If……

Osun State Government has threatened to seal off All Progressives Congress (APC) State Secretariat if the leadership fails to comply with fire safety conditions.

The Chairman, Special Committee on Fire Safety in the state, Hon. Mudasiru Oguntola Toogun handed down the threat during visit to the state party secretrait in Osogbo.

Toogun noted that the state is not handling the fire safety situation with glove hands adding that even if the ruling party in the state fail to comply with the safety conditions, it risk sanction.

The committee members who are monitoring tour to industries and multinational organisations, Toogun said the mandate given to the committee is to ensure total compliance to fire safety conditions by all residents in the state.

Hon Toogun said it is imperative on any organization that assembles people in a place to ensure the security of lives and property of those people.  He justified the visit to Political Party Secretariats has necessary because they assembly people almost all the time.

He therefore assured that all other party Secretariats would be visited with a view to sensitise them on the need to be fire safety compliant.

In their separate responses,   Deputy Chairman and Secretary of APC in the state, Alhaji Azeez Isa Adeniji and Hon Rasak Salinsile thanked Governor Rauf Aregbesola for looking inward to set up the committee for the welfare of Osun citizenry.

The duo also agreed with the visit of the committee to APC Party Secretariat since the party gave birth to government, therefore every political party must support government programmes.

They therefore promised to sensitize their members across the state while assuring of total compliance within stipulated period of time.

Other places visited were Daddy’s Kitchen, Mr Bigg’s, Ostrich Kitchen and Finger Licking Restaurant all in Osogbo. Their managements appreciate the visit and promised total compliance with the fire safety conditions.
