The camps for the D’Tigers and D’Tigress will soon open, says Tijjani Umar, President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF).
While D’Tigers will commence preparation for the Rio Olympics basketball event, D’Tigress is expected to resume camping in preparation for the Rio Olympics Qualifying Tournament in France in June.
Umar said at the weekend that the federation was concluding every arrangement to ensure the players were camped ahead of time.
“We are concluding plans to ensure that both the male and female teams are camped ahead of the Games and the qualifiers in France.
“For D’Tigress, a lot of players have indicated interest to join the team. I mean players who were not part of the AfroBasket Women in Cameroon due to clubs commitment. They want to see what they can do to make sure that D’Tigress books an Olympic ticket in France.
