Enyimba’s Azeez Expects Tough CAF Champions League Draw

Enyimba’s Abu Azeez believes that the last eight teams in the CAF Champions League are good for the title and hopes his side continues to improve.

The eight clubs that qualified for the group stage are Enyimba, Wydad, AS V. Club, Young Africans, Zesco United, Zamalek and E.S. Setifienne.

Enyimba reached the group stage of the competition but will have to wait for the draw next month to know its foes.

“We expect a favourable draw at this stage. Every team that made the last eight is a good so all we just pray for is to do better than we have done in previous games,” Azeez told Goal.

The two-time African champion has instilled confidence in its fans especially after the neck breaking final qualifier against Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia.

“Anything is possible, most people didn’t give us a chance to make it to the group stage ahead of Etoile du Sahel but now we are there already. It’s not a fluke, we just have to stay focused and play to our very best,” he added.
