Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar has approved the payment of August Salary ahead of the EID-KABIR Sallah celebration in order for civil servants and their dependents in the state to celebrate the important occasion of Eid El Kabir in comfort.
Mohammed Abubakar also facilitates with all Nigerians, especially Muslim faithful on the joyous occasion of the Eid El Kabir urging them to imbibe the important lessons of sacrifice and perseverance embodied in the slaughter of sanctioned animals.
He, however, urged workers in the state to rededicate themselves to duty in order to fast-track development noting that without a motivated Civil Service, delivering the dividends of democracy to the people will be slowed.
He finally prayed for the safe return of pilgrims of the state in particular and the Nation in general from Hajj.
The Governor had approved payment of August Salary last week before he departed for this year’s annual hajj exercise payment of which was effected at the weekend.
Meanwhile, Bauch State Police command has deployed a total of 2992 officers and men across the in view of EID-EL-KABIR celebration which comes up today, 21st August 2018.
The Commissioner of Police, SANUSI N. LEMU, assure the good people of the state of the Command’s readiness to perform its mandatory and statutory duty of protection of lives and property of innocent citizens in the state.
A press statement signed and issued by the PPRO, DSP Kamal Datti Abubakar contained that the Command is fully prepared to deal with hoodlums, political thugs and other disgruntled elements that may cause panic among the public during the period and will collaborate with sister security agencies and all stakeholders to ensure peace and hitch-free celebration.
He added that to that effect, the Command has designed an OPERATION ORDER for effective deployment of officers and men as well as all necessary logistics to all praying grounds and venues of events in the state.
“A total number of 2992 officers and men will be deployed across the state for this purpose, comprising of Conventional Police, Police Mobile Force (PMF), Counter Terrorist UNIT (CTU), Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD), State Intelligence Bureau (SIB), medical personnel and other operatives of the Command” the statement added.
The Commissioner of Police has also directed all DPOs, HoDs and Sectional Heads to personally supervise the deployment of their men and patrol their areas of responsibilities throughout the period and beyond.
“Finally, the Commissioner of Police wishes to extend his warm greetings to all Muslim faithful and other citizens in the state as they celebrate EID-EL-KABIR and enjoins them to cooperate with police and other security agencies in their effort towards ensuring peaceful celebrations and equally report any suspicious person or object to the nearest Police Station or call the command emergency phone number 08151849417”, the PPRO stated.
