Enyimba’ll Be NPFL Champions –Anyansi

Enyimba chairman Felix Anyansi has declared the league championship is within the reach of his team after the team beats Dolphins 2-0 to remain top of the league table.

After a goalless first half, Enyimba came through to beat relegation-threatened Dolphins in the second half on Sunday.

They now have 55 points from 29 matches, four points clear of closest rivals Warri Wolves.

Anyansi said the team is experienced enough not be carried away by the current league standings.

“We are an experienced side and at this point, we are in the position to lift the trophy, we are not sounding over confident but we are in pole position to be the champions,” said the Enyimba boss.

“The victory over Dolphins is encouraging to the entire team. It keeps the hope of winning the league title alive. At the stage of the league, every game is important to us.
