Lawmaker Attributes Super Eagles Loss To Congo To Enyeama’s Exit

Obinna Ogba, the Senator representing Ebonyi Central, on Friday attributed Super Eagles’ 0-2 loss to DR Congo in an international friendly on the exit of goalkeeper Vincent  Enyeama.

Ogba spoke in Abuja that the team was psychologically affected by the development in camp.

He, however, faulted the manner in which the goalkeeper was frustrated out of the team.

”Enyeama’s exit weighed the team down in that particular encounter.

”I don’t know exactly what went wrong and why somebody who has saved this country in international matches should be thrown out like that.

‘’He is still in form, young and I don’t see why he should be shown the way out of the team or forced to retire. I don’t think it’s proper,’’ he said.
