NEMSA Raises Issue With Power Installations In AEDC Network

The Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA) has raised issues over some substandard power poles and installations used by contractors under the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) network.

Speaking at the site of a 132kv power line being constructed along the Games Village road in Abuja, the Managing Director, Engr. Peter Ewesor said his men discovered that poles along the line were products of uncertified manufacturers.

NEMSA Zonal Inspector, Abuja Zonal Inspectorate, Engr. Usman Momoh said his men saw the ongoing construction and had to direct the contractors to stop work. “They have stopped until AEDC ensures that the correct thing is done” he said.
