Oyo PDP suspends chair for anti-party activities
Oyo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended the Chairman of the party in Ibadan North East Local Government, Mr. Taiwo Iyiola, for anti-party activities.
The party in a communiqué by the State Working Committee noted that Iyiola was suspended for allegations of anti-party activities by the executives of his ward.
Oyo PDP directed the Vice Chairman, Mr. Isiaka Fatokun, to take over the leadership of the party in Ibadan North East pending the time it will conclude investigations as provided by the constitution.
The suspended chairman has described his suspension as illegal, saying he got to know the news of his suspension on a Facebook page.
Iyiola said he was surprised when he saw the news, adding that he had never been found wanting and the party did not have any evidence of anti-party activities levelled against him.
